Rep. Lou Correa Votes to Pass of H.R.4, Secures Voting Rights for All Americans
Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA) released the following statement following the passage of the H.R.4 – The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act:
“I am proud to have voted for the passage of the H.R.4 – The John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. The H.R.4 is a simple and critical legislation that assures Americans have a say in our democracy and their voting rights are protected. Many states have eliminated same day registration, reduced election day hours, and limited the availability of polling places. This bill ensures that all registered voters have the opportunity to vote and that all legally cast ballots are counted. We must make sure that the voices of Americans are always counted and heard.”
