Rep. Lou Correa Applauds Federal Ruling Invalidating DHS Suspension of DACA

The Congressman Urged DACA-Eligible Individuals To Apply For Status

Washington, D.C. — Congressman Lou Correa released the following statement after a Federal judge invalidated the Department of Homeland Security’s suspension of DACA due to Chad Wolf’s unlawful appointment to his position.

“For years President Trump and his Administration have played fast and loose with the law, but the law has finally caught up with them. I am overjoyed and urge DACA recipients to take advantage of this opportunity and explore applying or renewing your status.

“In the coming year, I look forward to working with our incoming Administration to pass comprehensive immigration reform that provides DREAMers a pathway to citizenship. For now, I urge all DACA recipients to stay current on your status, stay safe, and keep making us proud.”
