Rep. Lou Correa Urges Universal Broadband

Correa: “Broadband Access Is No Longer Optional.”

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA-46) released the following statement regarding an important hearing on expanding broadband access in the United States.

Rep. Lou Correa said, “In our modern world, broadband access is no longer optional. Ensuring every community has access to broadband is just as important as phone lines and electricity were at the turn of the century. The COVID-19 Pandemic has shown that broadband access is a critical tool for telehealth, distance learning, remote work, and the constituted success of our communities in our digital era. Whether the fields of the great plains or the urban cities of southern California, everyone needs access to broadband.”
