Lou Correa Honors Senior Airman Jason Khai Phan
Washington D.C. — Congressman Lou Correa released the following regarding the untimely passage of Anaheim-native Senior Airman Jason Khai Phan, who was killed in a non-combat related incident while stationed in Kuwait.
“I am saddened by the news of Senior Airman Jason Phan’s passing. Jason bravely volunteered to go into harm’s way and defend his nation. This young man’s courage and commitment to his country are an inspiration to us all. On behalf of myself and our community, I offer my deepest condolences to Jason’s family in this difficult time. Your son’s memory will be honored and remembered by a grateful nation.”
Senior Airman Jason Phan, 26, of Anaheim, CA, died on September 12, 2020 in a non-combat related accident while conducting a routine patrol outside the perimeter of Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Airman Phan was assigned to the 66th Security Forces Squadron, Hanscom Air Force Base, MA. He was supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. In memorial, California Governor Newsom ordered that flags be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol.
