CORREA VOTES NO ON DEFENSE SPENDING BILL

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Representative Lou Correa (CA–46) released the following statement on his ‘no’ vote on this year’s defense spending bill, the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

"Families are struggling to afford groceries, gas, or a doctor’s visit. Instead of helping them, Republicans just voted to hand President Trump and Pete Hegseth $1.15 trillion for their ‘Department of War’ – the largest U.S. military budget in history. That’s a lot of money to hand over after cutting healthcare and food assistance earlier this year. This bill is further proof that Republicans' priorities are backwards.”
