Correa Applauds the House for Passing the Debt Ceiling

Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA) released the following statement applauding the House for voting to suspend the debt ceiling until December 2022.

Rep. Correa said: “Today, I joined my colleagues in the House to vote for legislation to pay our nation’s bills by suspending the debt ceiling. In doing so, we will preserve the Full Faith and Credit of the United States and the stability of our financial markets that has allowed President Biden’s economic policies to achieve record results. The partisanship that brought us here is a clear and present danger. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to pass what used to be a bipartisan measure and not to put our country in jeopardy for political gain.”
