Congressman Correa To Question Secretary-Nominee Wolf’s Willingness To Support The Peaceful Transition Of Power
Washington, D.C. — Today, Congressman Lou Correa will ask Secretary-Nominee Chad Wolf to commit to the peaceful transition of power. Mr. Wolf is on Capitol Hill for the House Homeland Security Committee’s annual Worldwide Threats hearing.
Rep. Lou Correa said, “Secretary-Nominee Wolf needs to make the same commitment that Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Mark Milley made to Congress a few weeks ago. Mr. Wolf’s willingness to unleash armed officers on peaceful protesters, create dossiers on reports, obfuscate and bury critical intelligence on interference in our elections, and spread misinformation in support of the President’s agenda proves it is not an outlandish leap of faith to imagine him illegally propping up the President come November. The peaceful transition of power is the cornerstone of our democracy. We can’t leave this to chance.”
