Congressman Correa Responds To President Biden’s $6 Trillion Investment In The United States of America

Washington, DC — Today, Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA-46) released the following statement in response to President Joe Biden’s first budget proposal:

“Budgets reflect our values, and this budget reflects mine. Hard-working Americans have been devastated by the COVID-19 pandemic. President Biden’s budget proposal outlines clear steps we must take to get Americans back on their feet and invest in our county’s future.

“This budget focuses on rebuilding the middle class, expanding the social safety net, and boosting American competitiveness across the world. This budget also combines President Biden’s $2.3 trillion infrastructure plan and his $1.8 trillion investment in American families to ensure everyday Americans get a helping hand from their government.

“I look forward to continuing to work with this Administration to improve the lives and livelihoods of working-class families and ensure everyone can share in the bounty of our great nation.”
