REP. CORREA STATEMENT ON REQUESTED AUDIT OF ANGEL STADIUM

ANAHEIM, Calif. — Today, following a request for a state audit of the Angel Stadium sale and lease compliance by State Senator Tom Umberg (D-Santa Ana) and Assemblymember Avelino Valencia (D-Anaheim), U.S. Representative Lou Correa (CA-46) released the following statement:

“All elected officials, at every level of government, have a responsibility to ensure proper stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Given the importance, as well as the past controversy, of the Angel Stadium lease, I support an investigation to confirm full compliance with the law,” Rep. Correa said. “Thank you to Senator Umberg and Assemblymember Valencia for requesting a state audit of the Angel Stadium lease.”
