Rep. Lou Correa Joins President Joe Biden To Announce Gun Violence Prevention Protocols

Correa Condemns National Gun Violence Epidemic

WASHINGTON, DC — Today, Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA-46) joinedPresident Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and ATF Director David Chipman to announce the Administration's plan to address the gun violence epidemic in the United States.

Rep. Lou Correa said, "I am a father of four. Last week, a tragic mass shooting that resulted in the murder of a nine-year-old boy shook me to my core. That is why I joined President Biden to support common-sense gun violence safety measures to keep our communities safe.

"This shooting did not take place in a vacuum. In the past month, our nation has seen dozens of mass shootings. Communities all across the country are experiencing the same pain and devastation that we feel today. We must make changes today. We cannot endure another son, daughter, mother, or father being killed. This violence must end."
