Rep. Lou Correa Appointed To Judiciary Immigration Subcommittee

Washington, DC—Congressman Lou Correa released the following statement regarding his appointment to the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Border Security and the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property, and the Internet:

“I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to serve on the House Judiciary Committee, and to continue my passionate defense and support of future Americans. At one point, nearly every one of us was an immigrant. Ensuring our legal system protects immigrants and refugees is essential to our nation.”

Congressman Lou Correa also serves on the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Border and Maritime Security, and the Subcommittee on Management and Oversight. As a Member of both the House Judiciary Committee and the House Homeland Security Committee, Congressman Correa is poised to be a strong voice in crafting the laws governing immigration and the enforcement of those laws by the Department of Homeland Security.
