Rep. Correa Signs Bipartisan Discharge Petition to Protect DREAMers

WASHINGTON, D.C.—Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA) joined a bipartisan coalition demanding a vote on legislation to protect DREAMers. If signed by 218 representatives, the discharge petition will force a vote on DREAMer legislation.

Rep. Correa said, “DREAMers have been political pawns for long enough. That ends now. For months I have been calling for an up or down vote on legislation for our DREAMers. This discharge petition makes that a reality.

”I am proud to say we are the closest we have ever been to finally doing what is right for the hundreds of thousands of DREAMers that call the United States home. For the first time in months, there is hope.”
