Rep. Correa Disappointed Tax Bill Fails Main Street

Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Lou Correa released this statement following the passage of the new tax reform bill.

Rep. Correa said, “When it comes to tax policy, our goal should be simplifying taxes, creating jobs, and helping Main Street.

Unfortunately for Californians, this tax bill will make the dream of homeownership even more expensive.

Unfortunately for Californians, ending state and local tax deductions could increase our taxes each year. Californa already pays more in federal taxes than it gets back. This change would mean Californians will pay even more to the Federal government.

As a Congressman, I need to support legislation that helps our neighbors, our working families, and our small businesses.”
