Rep. Correa Demands Answers On How DHS Will Reunite Separated Children With Their Parents

Washington, DC—Today, Congressman Lou Correa (D-CA) wrote a letter to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Nielsen asking for the department’s plan to return children to their parents.

Rep. Correa said, “As if separating families was not traumatic enough, we are now learning that parents are being deported without being reunited with their children. Without an explicit plan, there is a grave risk that these parents and children may never be reunited again. As a father, I cannot imagine the terror and pain these families must be experiencing. We must ensure these parents and children are reunited no matter what.”
