Rep. Correa Calls for Answers On Equifax Breach

Washington, DC—Congressman Lou Correa spearheaded a letter to Equifax Chairman and CEO Richard F. Smith a letter asking for answers on the data breach of 143 million Americans’ highly sensitive information. Rep. Correa was joined by 39 of his colleagues including, John Delaney, Rep. Keith Ellison, Stephen F. Lynch, and Judiciary Committee Ranking Member John Conyers.

Rep. Correa said, “Cyber breaches expose people’s most personal and vital information, exposing individuals to grave security issues. Consumers need to be notified when their data is stolen in a timely manner to protect themselves before to is too late.”
