Correa Votes To Keep Government Open

Critical Vote Will Ensure Federal Government Is Able To Continue Providing Resources & Aid During PandemicCritical Vote Will Ensure Federal Government Is Able To Continue Providing Resources & Aid During Pandemic

Washington D.C. Today, Congressman Lou Correa released the following statement regarding the passage of a Continuing Resolution to avert shutting down the government:

"While I am disappointed that, yet again, the House has failed to finish its work and pass a budget, I am pleased to have voted to keep the government open during these trying times. Shutting down the government over a budget dispute is always a bad idea; however, the COVID-19 pandemic makes keeping the government open a matter of life and death. As we continue to work towards a final agreement, we must ensure we keep our promises to the American people.”
