Biden’s Small Business Administration chief tours Anaheim

U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Isabella Casillas Guzman toured Anaheim on Friday, Feb. 3, after meeting with local business owners.

Guzman, who has served in President Joe Biden’s Cabinet since March 2021, met with small business owners at Pour Vida Tortillas & Tap on Anaheim Boulevard before embarking on a walking tour of nearby Center Street Promenade in the city’s downtown.

Guzman and Rep. Lou Correa, who organized the outing, also met with local chambers of commerce on Friday.

“As Southern California natives, Administrator Guzman and I have seen firsthand how interwoven our small businesses are into the fabric of our community — right here in Anaheim, and throughout all of Orange County,” said Correa, D-Anaheim. “Our small businesses received billions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to ease the pain inflicted by the worst public health crisis this nation has seen in generations.”

“That’s why I was so proud to host SBA Administrator Guzman in Anaheim today — for her to see the impact of the work her administration does and highlight the resources available to the small businesses that are the beating hearts of our neighborhoods,” he said.

Among those who attended were Dara Maliki, founder of The Pizza Press, and Art and Kathy Cervantes, owners of K&A Cafe in the Center Street Promenade’s food hall.
