Food Banks and Community Food Distributions
No one in our community should go hungry. If you are struggling to find food, resources are available to help. Local charities and organizations are working to bring food to those in need. You can find where your nearest food distribution is here.
CalFresh (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP))
The CalFresh Program, federally known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), issues monthly electronic benefits that can be used to buy most foods at many markets and food stores. The CalFresh Program helps to improve the health and well-being of qualified households and individuals by providing them a means to meet their nutritional needs. You can apply for CalFresh here.
WIC
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides nutritious foods, nutrition education, and access to health care to low-income pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children under 5. The monthly WIC food package includes foods chosen to improve nutrition.
