The Supreme Court Decision Is Imminent
Friends,
DACA is in danger. For the past year, the fate of thousands of DACA recipients has been in the hands of nine Justices of the Supreme Court. Their decision is imminent.
While we wait for their decision, I want to offer hope to those of you concerned for your friends, your families, and yourselves. I will never stop fighting for you. Regardless of what the Supreme Court rules, I will continue to push my colleagues to pass permanent protections for DREAMers.
While serving you in Congress, I have led from the front, fighting for permanent protections for DREAMers and a pathway to citizenship. I have introduced and co-authored numerous bills to solve this problem once and for all. And I will continue to open our Congressional office to DREAMers seeking internships and opportunities for advancement.
Central Orange County is home to the largest population of DREAMers in our country. They are soldiers, doctors, police officers, teachers, scientists, and farm workers. They are our friends and neighbors, our coworkers, and our peers. They are taxpayers. They are Americans in every way and have earned a pathway to U.S. Citizenship.
I had your back then, I have your back now, and I will have your back regardless of what the Supreme Court decides.
We are with you.
Respectfully,
Congressman Lou Correa
