Rep. Correa Releases Statement On Government Shutdown

Washington, DC—Congressman Lou Correa, released the following statement about Congress’s failure to pass a budget and prevent a government shutdown.

Rep. Correa said,

“In September, I voted in good faith to keep the government open and work on a budget for the American people. Four months and three CRs later, we still do not have a budget. This hurts our economy, our country, and our military. Forcing our military to operate without a budget hurts our military readiness.

I will keep working until we find a solution to reopen the government. Our military, our economy, and our country cannot continue to live in uncertainty. The American people deserve more from their elected leaders.”
